About the Dengue Profile
The dengue profile combines NS1 antigen, dengue IgM and IgG antibodies and a platelet count. NS1 detects the virus in the first days of fever, antibodies show the immune response later, and platelet count tracks the main risk of dengue.
Symptoms and situations where this test helps
- High fever with severe headache, pain behind the eyes, joint and muscle pain
- Rash, nausea or bleeding gums
- Fever during or after the monsoon
- Follow-up of platelet counts during dengue
Understanding your results
A positive NS1 or IgM supports current dengue infection. A falling platelet count needs close monitoring. IgG alone may show a past infection. Warning signs such as severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, bleeding or drowsiness need urgent hospital care.
What your doctor may advise next
Your doctor advises fluids, rest and repeat platelet counts, and decides about hospital care.

Can I add or remove tests?
Yes. Tell us what your doctor advised and we will adjust the profile and share the rate before you pay.
Profiles are screening tools. Your doctor interprets the results and decides on further tests.
