Home sample collection: how it works

• Message or call us with your tests or prescription and your address.
• We confirm the tests, preparation and a time slot.
• A trained phlebotomist arrives with sterile, single-use supplies and collects your sample.
• The sample is labelled in front of you, carried to our lab and tested. Reports are shared digitally and you can also collect a printed copy.

Fasting and other preparation

Fasting for 8 to 10 hours (water allowed) is needed for fasting glucose and lipid profile. Thyroid tests are best done at a consistent time, and your doctor may ask you to take or skip a medicine that morning. Biotin supplements can interfere with some hormone tests, so tell us if you take them. For health packages, we share exact preparation instructions when you book.

Is home sample collection free?

Please confirm at booking. Our team will tell you the collection charge, if any, for your area and test.

Which tests need fasting?

Blood glucose (fasting) and lipid profile need 8 to 10 hours of fasting. Most other tests do not. We will tell you when you book.

How do I get my blood test report?

Digital reports are shared by WhatsApp or email once ready. You can also collect a printed copy at the lab. Timing depends on the test and is confirmed when you book.

Is a prescription needed for blood tests?

A prescription is not required for health packages and routine tests. If your doctor has advised specific tests, share the prescription so we can match it exactly.

What is the difference between serum, plasma and EDTA samples?

Different tests need different tubes. Serum comes from clotted blood, EDTA tubes keep blood from clotting for counts like CBC, fluoride tubes preserve glucose, and citrate tubes are used for clotting tests. We use the correct tube for each test.

Can I get tests done on Sunday?

Yes. The lab is open on Sunday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Home collection slots on Sunday are confirmed at booking.

Are my reports confidential?

Yes. Reports are shared only with you or the person you authorise. For corporate checkups, results go to the contact nominated by your company.
