About the Heart Health Basic
Heart Health Basic is a simple first check combining a lipid profile, fasting sugar, hs-CRP and a 12-lead ECG. It screens the major risk factors for heart disease and records the heart’s electrical activity in one visit.
Symptoms and situations where this test helps
- Adults above 30 who want a heart screening
- Family history of heart disease or high cholesterol
- Desk-job lifestyle, stress, smoking or obesity
- Before starting a new exercise programme, as advised by a doctor
Understanding your results
Cholesterol and sugar values show metabolic risk. hs-CRP shows inflammation. A normal ECG at rest is reassuring but does not exclude heart disease; doctors may advise a stress test or echo if symptoms continue.
What your doctor may advise next
Your doctor may advise lifestyle changes, medicines or further tests such as an echo or treadmill test.
