About this service
Pre-medical checkups for working abroad
Most countries require workers to pass a medical examination before they travel for a job. The aim is to confirm that the candidate is free from certain infectious diseases and fit for work. The tests and the standards are set by the destination country and by the employer or recruitment agency, so the exact list differs.
HumanCare Pathlabs supports candidates and recruitment agencies in Delhi with pre-medical health checkups for destinations such as Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Iraq and Jordan, and for other countries on request. Our laboratory is NABL accredited (certificate MC-10015, for tests in our accredited scope).
Tests commonly asked for
- Complete blood count, blood sugar, and kidney and liver function tests
- Screening for HIV, hepatitis B and C, and syphilis (VDRL or TPHA)
- Malaria and microfilaria screening, as required by the destination
- Urine routine examination and, for women, a pregnancy test
- Chest X-ray and ECG; stool examination or other tests when specified

Check before you book
Some destinations, especially in the Gulf, require the medical to be done at a centre approved by the destination country’s authority. Please confirm with your recruitment agency whether an approved centre is required for your destination before you book a test, so that your report is accepted and you do not need to repeat it. We are happy to share what we can offer for your checklist.
For recruitment agencies
Agencies can send candidates in batches. Share the destination, the checklist, the number of candidates and dates, and our corporate team will send a quotation and schedule. Reports are confidential and shared as per your instructions.
Preparing for the test
- Carry a photo ID, passport copy and the agency’s referral or checklist.
- Fasting for 8 to 10 hours may be needed if blood sugar is included.
- Carry vaccination records if your destination asks for them.
- Tell the staff about any medicines or earlier conditions.

Questions HR teams ask us
What tests are done in a pre-medical for Kuwait, UAE or Qatar?
Commonly blood tests, infection screening (HIV, hepatitis B and C, VDRL), malaria and microfilaria, urine, and chest X-ray. The destination authority and your agency decide the exact list.
Is a particular approved centre required for my destination?
Some destinations require approved centres. Please check with your agency and share the checklist with us before booking.
Can recruitment agencies send batches of candidates?
Yes. Share candidate numbers, destination and preferred dates with our corporate team.
How soon is the report ready?
Timing depends on the tests and is confirmed in the quotation or at booking.
Is my medical report confidential?
Yes. Reports are shared only with the candidate and the agency or employer as instructed.
Do you offer on-site health checkups at our office?
Yes. For larger teams we can arrange on-site sample collection and selected tests at your location. Share headcount, address and the tests you need, and we will plan it with you.
Which tests are part of a pre-employment medical?
It depends on the job role and your company policy. A typical panel has blood and urine tests, chest X-ray, ECG, pulmonary function test and audiometry. We can add or remove tests to match your requirement.
Can candidates visit the lab with a referral letter?
Yes. Employers can send candidates with a referral letter, and candidates can book a lab visit. Selected tests can also be done at home.
How and when will we receive the reports?
Reports are shared digitally with the HR contact you nominate. Turnaround depends on the tests and is confirmed in your quotation.
Are employee results confidential?
Yes. We follow defined protocols for patient identification, sample handling and confidentiality. Results go to the employee and to the contact your company nominates.
Do you give a fitness decision?
We provide the test results. The final fitness decision stays with the employer and their medical officer.
Do you work with insurers, TPAs and overseas recruitment agencies?
Yes, we do medical testing for insurance and for people travelling abroad for work. Requirements differ by insurer and destination country, so please share the requirement letter or checklist with us before you send candidates.

Our lab is in Okhla, South-East Delhi. We serve Delhi and Noida, and plan Gurugram as scheduled on-site collection drives. Tell us your location and we will confirm what works best.
